Work and family commitments are in over-drive and I can’t get out of first gear! Unfortunately I do not have time for chit chat….on with the projects.
As You See It Challenge 013 this week is an exciting new challenge…
Whatever your favourite stamp set is…use it!
I used Hello There digital stamp brushes to make two projects (because that is how committed I am…oh, and it was a requirement of our design team). I used the stamps, paper, and embellishments to make my first digital card, and a 12×12 page.
So, what’s your favourite stamp set?
I am right in the thick of designing and creating Christmas cards. I am pleased to report that they are easier this year than last. Maybe its the stamps, maybe its my practice, maybe I’ve found my style, maybe I’ve got some creative mojo happening. Whatever it is…I like it 🙂
The As You See It sketch challenge #12 was my inspiration for this Christmas card.
I stuck really closely to the sketch this week. Here’s my take ->
I kept the elements all really simple but they all go together so nicely I think.
Did I mention Blog Candy?!? Yep, play along with tis weeks sketch and you could win the Pop and Place Tags!
Create a project, upload it (pinterest or splitcoast or Facebook or a blog) and then add your project link to the As You See It site. Easy peasy lemon squeezey – you’re entered to win! Good Luck! Small print: you must reside in North America to win.
Stampin’ Up! Supplies:
Stamps: Merry Little Christmas, Endless Wishes
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Paper: Whisper White and Early Espresso cardstock, Champagne Glimmer paper
Accessories: Season of Style Washi tape, Pearls
Back in front of my computer and found a great sketch from Scrapmuch? from Friday that I had to try out.
I changed the circle to a heart to go with the theme of my page.
I’m realizing now that I need to add a little bit of journalling….may go back and add that in.
I used my new Hello There kit for nearly everything. Super sweet and fun elements and colours.
All this digital designing has payed off! I was chosen as one of the winners for Digital Scrapbook Days! After I downloaded the Nobody’s Business Kit I got to work using the pieces on a project and uploaded it to mydigitalstudio.net. I am so excited that my project was chosen as a winner! Now I have $20 in free digital downloads….to fuel the digital scrapbooking fire 🙂
It was my sweet winter page that I was working on this past weekend that won…
Check out my project and the other winners at mydigitalstudio.net
Truly, the colours for the As You See It Challenge this week are NOT my colours…. I’m not much of a pastel person whatsoever.
But I managed to pull off a pastel scrapbook page. In fact it is a scrapbook page with my BOYS on it. I am impressed. I have stretched beyond my usual creative ground, that makes today a good day 🙂
Ok, so perhaps this particular page does not jive with the current season. I opted to go with an Easter theme for these pastel colours.
I actually started with a designer template in My Digital Studio. The Special Delivery Subtle Kit already had the paper, embellishments, photo boxes, text boxes and a title all ready for me. Here is the template I chose ->
Then I just made it my own, by recolouring some of the paper and embellishments and adding a title that fit with my photos. It came together VERY quickly.
Anyhoo….it goes to show that if I can use these colours, then ANYBODY can. Hope you play along with us at As You See It.
I had this series of pictures of Chae helping Granny pick apples that I knew I wanted to scrapbook, and I found the perfect layout at ScrapMuch –
And since I’ve been on such a digital scrapbooking spree, I figure why not ride it out? It’s not all the time that I have the inspiration, motivation, or time to sit and work on these.
These pages feature the Autumn Traditions Kit that was one of the kits that was one that I got for 50% off during digital scrapbooking days. And this is my first two-page spread in My Digital Studio *pats herself on the back*
I hope you are enjoying checking out all these digital pages that I have been making, and perhaps inspires you to make a page too.
Thanks for popping in.
I CAN’T STOP! I may need to start going to meetings…..digital scrapbookers anonymous meetings, that is. LOL.
Here is another page I made…this time featuring my new Amped Up Amersands Kit and my Liam.
I’ve been using a LOT of elements on my digital pages recently. They take a bit of time, but I’m LOVING the finished products.
I tried to get kind of a chalkboard look for the background…do you think it worked? Not sure about that, but it does all go together pretty well anyways. I picked out the red from the medal around Liam’s neck to add to a couple of pieces of the stitched paper and the button, but everything else was left as is. I also used the new Moments Ago stamp set (that I got for FREE – WHOOT!)
